Yesterday, Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hongyanhe Nuclear Power") released its 2025 annual operation and development report card. As the first nuclear power plant in Northeast China and the largest regional power energy base, Hongyanhe Nuclear Power is committed to the goal of high-quality development, deeply implements the concept that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", and activates new-quality productivity through technological innovation. Throughout the year, it achieved an on-grid power generation of 49.15 billion kilowatt-hours, a record high; the cumulative on-grid power generation of its 6 units reached 380.869 billion kilowatt-hours, equivalent to reducing about 352 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions, which is equivalent to planting a forest of 857,000 hectares in Liaoning. It has submitted an annual report for Northeast China's energy supply security and ecological protection, and contributed to the new situation and new stage of Liaoning's comprehensive revitalization.
Safety is the lifeline of nuclear power development. Throughout 2025, the 6 units of Hongyanhe Nuclear Power were under full control, with a good nuclear safety status. There were no unplanned shutdowns or reactor trips, and it successfully achieved the annual safety production goals of "two preventions" (preventing personal accidents resulting in serious injuries or above and preventing quality accidents of medium-level severity or above) and "six zeros" (zero deaths, zero pollution, zero occupational diseases, zero fires, zero explosions, and zero mass incidents). Its industrial safety indicators reached the excellent level of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO). The CPR1000 and ACPR1000 third-generation nuclear power technologies adopted by Hongyanhe Nuclear Power provide solid support for safe operation. In 2025, 88.9% of the WANO indicators entered the world's advanced ranks, the unit capacity factor increased to 95.19%, and 5 units achieved a full score in the WANO comprehensive index.
In 2025, Hongyanhe Nuclear Power took digital and intelligent transformation as the core to accelerate the cultivation of new-quality productivity, and many technological innovations filled industry gaps. The first nuclear power automatic calibration system in the domestic nuclear power industry was officially put into use in Unit 5. This achievement won the first prize in the China Equipment Maintenance and Transformation Innovation Achievement Competition and was selected as an "Innovative Leading Application Case in the Field of National Electromechanical Equipment Maintenance, Transformation, and Remanufacturing". The intelligent inspection robots for the 500kV and 220kV switchyards were officially put into service. They can complete the inspection tasks that originally required two maintenance personnel nearly a week to finish in 3 hours, reducing the manual workload by about 90% and significantly improving the inspection quality and frequency.
Hongyanhe Nuclear Power has always adhered to the goal of "building a nuclear power plant, promoting local economic development, and benefiting local people", and deeply integrated its corporate development into local development. In 2025, with the support of its shareholder units, Hongyanhe Nuclear Power donated 900,000 yuan to the Dalian Youth Development Foundation, specifically for the renovation of the playground of Hongyanhe Town Hope Middle School. Hongyanhe Nuclear Power continuously carried out public welfare activities, with volunteer service hours exceeding 1,600 hours. In 2025, it won the "Outstanding Contribution Award for the 30th Anniversary of the Hope Project in Dalian".
As a national ecological environment science popularization base, energy science popularization base, and power and nuclear science education base, Hongyanhe Nuclear Power officially launched an industrial tourism project in May 2025, receiving nearly 4,000 public visitors throughout the year.
