On January 6th, in the Hengli Heavy Industry Industrial Park on Changxing Island, Dalian, six 82,000-deadweight-ton bulk carriers built in Dock No. 3 of Hengli Heavy Industry were launched on the same day and successfully completed the berthing operation. Next, they will enter the stage of outfitting work at the wharf. The simultaneous construction and launching of six bulk carriers of this tonnage from the same dock set a new global record in the shipbuilding industry, which benefits from Hengli Heavy Industry's high-level construction capabilities and modern, high-end, and large-scale supporting facilities. According to the report that Dock No. 3 is 860 meters long and 80 meters wide, being the largest in the world. It is equipped with two 2000-ton gantry cranes and one 600-ton gantry crane, having the world's largest lifting capacity.
