Recently, three open berths at Zhuanghe Port have berthed three foreign trade ships for operation simultaneously for the first time, presenting a scene of "one ship per berth and full-load operation". This marks a major operational breakthrough for Zhuanghe Port, kicking off the high-quality development journey of the new year with a "good start".

As a Class-I national open port and one of the five core ports in Dalian, the three 10,000-ton open berths at Zhuanghe Port have a total length of 478 meters, including multi-purpose berths and general berths, which are key infrastructure of the port. The three foreign trade ships berthed this time are carrying special cargoes such as cold-chain aquatic products and minerals, precisely fitting the functional positioning of Zhuanghe Port as an important import and export port for aquatic products and mineral resources in Northeast China. During the operation, the port achieved "zero-waiting" customs clearance and efficient loading and unloading through refined scheduling and "one-ship-one-policy" service guarantee, in coordination with departments such as the customs, ensuring seamless connection of ship berthing, operation, and departure, comprehensively testing and demonstrating the port's comprehensive service capabilities.

In recent years, the business sectors of Zhuanghe Port have been continuously expanding. With the successive commissioning of supporting facilities including a 130,000-ton cold storage, it has become the domestic cold-chain logistics hub closest to the offshore area. Relying on the geographical advantage of being the closest to South Korea and other places and the natural conditions of being an ice-free port all year round, Zhuanghe Port is becoming a “golden channel” for the hinterland of Northeast China to connect with the global market, actively serving the strategic layout of Liaoning Province to build an important shipping hub in Northeast Asia and create a world-class port cluster. It is reported that by 2025, the container throughput of Zhuanghe Port will nearly triple and the foreign trade throughput will nearly quadruple.

Next, Zhuanghe will continue to optimize port services, expand international shipping routes, deepen the integration of the port, industry, and city, and promote more special cargoes to reach the world via Zhuanghe Port, injecting stronger port impetus into high-quality development.
