It is reported that the biggest change in the online application for the 2026 childcare subsidy is the addition of a renewal function based on the basic functions in 2025. That is, for infants who applied for the childcare subsidy in 2025 and meet the conditions for continued application in the new year, the applicants can apply for renewal.

If there is no change in the information, the applicant can directly click the one-click renewal operation to simplify the application process. If there are changes in the information, the applicant needs to click "modify". The system will automatically import the information from the first application, and the applicant only needs to modify and submit the changed content.

As of now, all 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) across the country have issued the 2025 childcare subsidy, with the cumulative number of recipients exceeding 24 million. The issuance rate of the 2025 childcare subsidy reached about 80%.

For infants who meet the application conditions, the applicants can apply online through the "Childcare Subsidy" mini-programs on platforms such as Alipay and WeChat, as well as the childcare subsidy application section on the government service platform of the province where the infant is registered. They can also apply offline at the township or sub-district where the infant is registered.
