Recently, the "Return to Hometown" social practice and the "Sail Plan · Government Internship for Young Students" activities in Jinpu New District in 2026 were officially launched. More than 200 college students who went home for the winter vacation went to the front-line of social practice and government internships in Jinpu New District after pre-job training. These college students on duty were selected from 421 applicants.

Before this winter vacation, the Talent Office of the Party Working Committee of Jinpu New District, the Working Committee of District-level Government Agencies, and the Communist Youth League Committee of Jinpu New District actively contacted various employers in the area and widely solicited internship positions. A total of 210 practical positions were provided by 32 units, and the number of returning college students who signed up was nearly twice the number of positions offered. At the launch ceremony, the District Youth League Committee established a temporary Youth League branch for the internship activity through an election among the college students participating in this activity. In the pre-job training session, the General Offices of the Two Working Committees (the State Secrets Protection Bureau), the Working Committee of District-level Government Agencies, and the District Youth League Committee carried out special training on confidentiality education, official etiquette, practice activity norms, and safety guarantees, further clarifying the practical requirements of being rigorous, pragmatic, and abiding by rules and disciplines. During the winter vacation, the Youth League Committee of Jinpu New District will also cooperate with relevant universities to jointly carry out a series of talent-attracting activities called "Youth Gather in Jinpu, Innovate for the Future" to gather youthful strength for the high-quality development of Jinpu New District.

In recent years, Jinpu New District has carried out in-depth the "Return to Hometown" social practice activities. The booming economic vitality of the national new area and the innovative practices in various fields are strongly attractive to college students who are eager to temper their characters, increase their abilities, and serve their hometowns in the fertile ground of grass-roots practice. Last summer vacation, Jinpu New District carried out the "Ten-Hundred-Thousand" college student social practice activity, setting up 10 inspection routes and 10 major research directions, which attracted more than 1,800 people from 10 provinces and cities and hundreds of universities to conduct inspections, research, and internships in Jinpu New District, arousing wide attention from all sectors of society and inspiring the enthusiasm of students from Jinpu to go to the front-line of Jinpu and serve the development of the new area.
