On June 30th, Chen Shaowang, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and mayor, met with Polish ambassador to China Gu Tianwei and his party at Bangchuidao Hotel. Tang Yi, Secretary-General of the Municipal Government, and Adam Vicorek, Deputy Mayor of Lodz, Poland attended the meeting.
On behalf of the municipal party committee and municipal government, Chen Shaowang welcomed Gu Tianwei and his delegation and introduced Dalian's economic and social development. He said that Dalian is thoroughly implementing the spirit of Xi Jinping's important speech and important instructions during his inspection in Liaoning, anchoring the strategic positioning of "two pioneering districts" and "three centers", promoting high-quality development with high-level opening up, and accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system with Dalian characteristics and advantages, and bravely serving as the "high jump team" for the revitalization of Northeast China in the new era. Dalian and Poland have a high degree of industrial compatibility and strong complementarity, and the two sides have carried out pragmatic cooperation in the fields of industry, economy and trade, port and shipping logistics, and education.
