The home event site of Dalian June 5th Environment Day

Yesterday, the home event of Dalian on June 5th Environment Day in 2025 with the theme of "Beautiful China I Go First" was held in Dalian News Media Group. The waste-free port of Dalian Container Terminal, waste-free factory of Dalian No.1 Transformer, waste-free school of Dalian Light Industry School, waste-free organ of Xigang District Administration Bureau, waste-free hotel of Dalian Furama Hotel (star-rated), Haichuang (Dalian) Science and Technology Exchange Center. 11 districts, cities and counties simultaneously carried out branch-venue activities with distinctive themes and splendid themes to paint a new chapter of beautiful Dalian.

At the event site, the four ecological movements of "Beautiful Bay", "Public Participation", "Waste-free Governance" and "Biodiversity" played the main theme of comprehensively promoting the construction of beautiful China. Zhongshan District tells the story of Dalian Laohutan-Bangchui Island Shore Section, which was rated as an outstanding case of national beautiful bay; Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. shared its experience in opening up environmental protection facilities and public communication of Hongyanhe Nuclear Power; Dalian Container Terminal Co., Ltd. and Dalian Light Industry School respectively tell the story of "waste-free cells" construction; Connect with Laotieshan National Nature Reserve in Shedao, Liaoning Province to carry out biodiversity science popularization.

In addition, the event awarded licenses to five national environmental protection facility open units, including the National Marine Environment Monitoring Center, Sinopec Catalyst Dalian Co., Ltd., Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., Dalian Constant Current Energy Storage Power Station Co., Ltd., and Dalian Power Generation Co., Ltd. It is reported that since Dalian took the lead in launching the "Environmental Protection Public Open Day" in 2017, 16 of the 31 open units in the city have been included in the list of open units of environmental protection facilities in China, effectively guaranteeing the public's right to know, participate and supervise.
