Recently, the construction of the second bid section of the deep foundation treatment project of Dalian Jinzhou Bay International Airport (except the terminal area) has been fully launched, marking that the construction of this future aviation hub in Northeast Asia has entered a more critical stage. The total area of the project started this time is about 3.5 square kilometers, equivalent to 490 standard football fields, covering the south runway, surrounding flight areas, east vertical slide and some working areas, laying the foundation for subsequent runway construction.

As the first offshore artificial island airport in China, the deep foundation treatment of Dalian Jinzhou Bay International Airport is of great significance to effectively control the post-construction settlement, uneven settlement and differential settlement of the foundation, and is an important process link to ensure the stable operation of the new airport in the future. The deep foundation treatment project of Dalian Jinzhou Bay International Airport covers a total area of 10 square kilometers. It is estimated that about 43 million cubic meters of earth and stone will be invested, and about 340,000 cement mixing piles, gravel piles and high-pressure jet grouting piles will be constructed. The total area of dynamic compaction is about 5.5 million square meters, and about 12 million drainage boards are used, with a total length of about 200,000 kilometers, which can circle the earth nearly five times. The overall project has the characteristics of large scale, complex geological conditions, and high standard requirements. Since the start of construction in June 2024, the project has completed 1.3 square kilometers of foundation reinforcement, accounting for 13% of the total project.

Faced with the technical challenges of large project scale, diverse land construction methods, and high standard requirements, Dalian Airport Group gave full play to the main role of construction, organized construction units such as CCCC First Harbor Bureau to increase investment in personnel and equipment, and based on the characteristics of the project, innovatively researched and developed the "dynamic adaptation" construction system, carried out key technical research, and adopted dynamic compaction, vacuum combined preloading, gravel pile and other processes of adaptation projects. Among them, the ultra-high vacuum combined stacking preloading technology has a stacking height of up to 11.5 meters and a ballast weight of 17 tons per square meter, which is three times that of ordinary stacking preloading, and lasts for about 380 days; In terms of dynamic compaction, about 90 tons of rammers are used to generate an energy level of 1,800 tons of meters, and the reinforcement depth can reach 13 meters. At the same time, through more than 10 new technologies such as high-energy immersed pipe gravel pile technology with deep overburden auxiliary lead holes and high-efficiency and energy-saving water-gas separation vacuum preloading technology, on-site construction problems are effectively solved and the construction quality of deep foundation treatment is protected.

At present, the project has fully launched a number of monitoring projects such as surface settlement, layered settlement, pore water pressure, groundwater level, vacuum pressure under membrane and horizontal displacement, with 3.7 million monitoring times, using scientific data to escort foundation stability. Xu Binbin, deputy general manager and chief engineer of the second bid section of the deep foundation treatment project of Dalian Jinzhou Bay International Airport Project (except the terminal area), told reporters that CCCC First Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. strictly strengthens the management of the entire construction process, builds a full participation, full-area coverage and full-process quality management system, and tightens the quality valve from the source. Under the conditions of ultra-large area and mechanical cluster operations, "digitalization + intelligence" is deeply integrated, and precise construction is empowered by intelligent equipment to achieve dynamic compaction, rolling, gravel piles, high-pressure jet grouting piles, silt solidification, vacuum preloading. The digital management and control of the entire process has greatly reduced the work intensity of monitoring and control at the construction site. Currently, there are about 260 deep foundation treatment vehicles and equipment, and more than 460 positioning and sensing equipment are installed, with a digitalization rate of 100%. On this basis, supplemented by orthophotos and video surveillance, you can know the on-site construction situation like the back of your hand without leaving home.
