Hengli Heavy Industry's first 181,000-dwt bulk carrier was successfully launched from the slipway.
Recently, the first 181,000-dwt bulk carrier built by Hengli Heavy Industry was successfully launched, becoming the first bulk carrier of this tonnage in China to be built on the slipway and successfully launched.
At dawn on June 10, the wind was calm, and Hengli Heavy Industry's first 181,000-dwt bulk carrier slowly sailed to the dive area under the load of the floating dock. On the morning of the same day, after orderly water injection and diving operations, the ship floated smoothly, and the launch was completed in one go and went smoothly. The ship docked at the designated dock smoothly in the afternoon.
Hengli Heavy Industry's first 181,000-dwt bulk carrier has a total length of 291.95 meters, a molded width of 45 meters, a molded depth of 25.1 meters, a designed draft of 16.1 meters, and a designed speed of 14.5 knots. It is classified by Det Norske Veritas. The ship was built on the No. 1 slipway of Hengli Heavy Industry. It is currently the largest tonnage ship that can be built on the slipway in the world.
According to reports, compared with the traditional construction of large ships in the dock, building large ships on the slipway is more flexible and efficient. There is no need to queue up in the dock, and they can be built and launched at any time, which greatly saves time, manpower and other costs. During the loading of the slipway, the project team composed of Hengli Heavy Industry technicians and the construction team broke the practice of "building large ships in the dock" in one fell swoop, scientifically formulated the loading plan, optimized the process flow, and ensured the high quality of the first 181,000-dwt bulk carrier. Construction and efficient launch. The successful launch of the ship has also boosted confidence and accumulated experience for the subsequent construction of large oil tankers and gas ships on the slipway.
Currently, the core production line composed of Hengli Heavy Industry's ultra-large dock and slipway is in full swing. Batch construction and rhythmic delivery of multiple types of ships have gradually become the norm. More high-quality ships will set sail from here and pursue the dream of deep blue.
