On April 17th, Xiong Maoping, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, and Chen Shaowang, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, met with Palhomchik, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Brest State, Belarus, and his party in Dalian. Chervyakov, Ambassador of Belarus to China, Bazenko, Vice Chairman of Brest State Executive Committee; Liu Enju, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee, Wang Biao and Leng Xuefeng, city leaders, attended the meeting.

Xiong Maoping and Chen Shaowang, on behalf of Dalian Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, welcomed Palhomchik's delegation and briefly introduced Dalian's economic and social development. Xiong Maoping said that under the strategic guidance of Xi Jinping and President Lukashenko, China-Belarus relations have been upgraded to an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership, which has injected strong impetus into bilateral cooperation in various fields. Dalian and Belarus have close local economic and trade exchanges, extensive cultural exchanges, fruitful cooperation and broad prospects. It is hoped that the two sides will fully implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, further deepen sister city exchanges, strengthen industrial cooperation and economic and trade exchanges, continuously expand mutual learning in the fields of culture, tourism, education, medical care and other fields, and jointly make new contributions to the development of China-Belarus all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership.

Palhomchik thanked Dalian Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for their warm reception to the delegation, and hoped that the two sides would continue to expand cooperation in agricultural products trade, machinery and equipment manufacturing and other fields, further deepen people-to-people exchanges and exchanges, and work together to achieve mutual benefit and win-win development.
