On April 16th, the launching ceremony of 2025 Dalian Sea Cucumber Spring Catching, jointly supported by Dalian Federation of Industry and Commerce, Municipal Ocean Development Bureau and Municipal Bureau of Commerce, co-sponsored by Sea Cucumber Industry Branch of China Fisheries Association and Beijing Zhongshui Hailong Trading Co., Ltd., and hosted by Dalian Hongyuhai Treasures Co., Ltd., was held in Dalian. As the core production area of the national sea cucumber industry, the output value of the whole industrial chain of Dalian sea cucumber has exceeded 30 billion yuan, accounting for 1/3 of the national total output value. The start of spring fishing in the new year marks that this pillar industry has entered a new stage of high-quality development.
With its unique geographical environment and mature breeding technology, Dalian has become the core producing area of Liaoning Cucumber. In recent years, the government has promoted the upgrading of the whole chain of sea cucumber industry from seedling raising and breeding to processing and sales through policy support, technology promotion and market supervision. This spring's harvesting season started in mid-April, and the market competitiveness of Dalian sea cucumber has been further highlighted by virtue of its close price and stable quality.
At the launching ceremony, the Sea Cucumber Industry Branch of China Fisheries Association announced the latest sampling results of Dalian sea cucumber on the spot: on April 7th, a third-party organization inspected the ready-to-eat sea cucumber products of Dalian enterprises, showing that the qualified rate reached 100%. In order to strengthen consumer trust, the association simultaneously launched the national sea cucumber traceability code system to realize the transparency of product raw material origin, test report and processing information. Beijing Zhongshui Hailong's "Haizhongjin Sea Cucumber" has become the first batch of coded brands, and consumers can verify their "identity" by scanning the code.
Luo Fengkui, a well-known influencer and chairman of Jilin Jufacai Group, was specially invited to serve as the national sea cucumber recommendation officer. Luo Fengkui's team will help Dalian sea cucumber reach young consumer groups through live broadcast and short video promotion. Data show that online sales of ready-to-eat sea cucumbers in Dalian will increase by 35% year-on-year in 2024, and e-commerce channels are becoming a new engine of industrial growth.

This spring, the company plans to purchase Dalian sea cucumbers in large quantities to help Dalian sea cucumbers serve to more consumers' tables across the country.
Chi Feiyue, Secretary-General of the Sea Cucumber Industry Branch of China Fisheries Association, said that the standardization and branding practice of Dalian's sea cucumber industry has provided a model for the high-quality development of the national sea cucumber industry. In the future, the promotion of "traceability code", the expansion of e-commerce channels and the research and development of deep-processed products will promote the industry to move towards the high-quality goal of the whole industrial chain, and help rural revitalization and the high-quality development of marine economy.
