The 15th Dalian Student Robot Competition started a few days ago, with 187 teams and 429 contestants from the city participating. After fierce competition, 33 teams won the first prize.

This competition is divided into three groups: primary school, junior high school and senior high school. There are eight competition events: bipedal humanoid or multi-legged bionic robot, conventional project, super trajectory, every second counts, programmable aerial vehicle, LEGO Education Science and Technology Exploration, LEGO Education Science and Technology Innovation Challenge and UBTECH Super Burning Action Challenge. On the field, the contestants skillfully used professional knowledge such as program algorithm, robot control principle and engineering theory, and fully demonstrated the sunny and confident spirit, solid scientific and technological and digital literacy skills of primary and secondary school students in Dalian through on-site programming, on-site debugging, on-site robot construction and on-site explanation.

Next, the Municipal Education Bureau will focus on improving students' scientific literacy and artificial intelligence literacy, further expand the competition projects, stimulate students' curiosity, imagination and desire for exploration of science and technology by using competitions as media and attracting talents, promote students' perception, understanding and application of artificial intelligence technology, improve students' ability to solve practical problems and intelligent thinking, and promote the cultivation of high-quality innovative talents from basic education.
