On March 20th, Dalian Foreign Publicity and Translation Center was unveiled in Dalian University of Foreign Languages, which is the first municipal-level foreign publicity and translation center in the province.

Dalian is the leader and window of Northeast China's opening to the outside world and an important bridgehead in Eurasia. Focusing on the high-quality development and upgrading of Dalian's "two pioneers" and focusing on the objectives and tasks of "six constructions", the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee, in collaboration with the Translation Institute of China Foreign Languages Bureau, together with the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and Dalian University of Foreign Languages, jointly initiated the establishment of Dalian Foreign Publicity and Translation Center. The center has a management committee, which is responsible for the overall planning and design of the center, decision-making on major issues, overall organization and coordination, etc.

Dalian Foreign Publicity and Translation Center will carry out the research and application of translation theory, strengthen the standardized foreign translation of Dalian characteristic discourse, focus on strengthening the translation service ability, promote the standardization construction of foreign translation, and strengthen the training of translators. Relying on Dalian's location advantages, industrial characteristics and open pattern, it will help Dalian improve its international communication ability with more accurate and efficient language services, tell Dalian stories to the world and spread Dalian voice well.
