Spring ploughing is the key to ensuring stable grain production and supply throughout the year and improving the quality and efficiency of characteristic industries. The agricultural and rural departments of the whole city planned, deployed and acted early, and took multiple measures to solidly promote the work of spring ploughing. According to the agricultural situation dispatch, this year, the city's estimated grain sown area is 4.014 million mu, and 183,500 tons of all kinds of agricultural materials needed for spring ploughing and sowing have been basically prepared as of March 19th, with the overall household rate of 55.7%.

In order to strengthen the responsibility compaction, the Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs timely decomposed and issued the annual grain and oil production objectives and tasks, and formulated the Work Plan for Spring Ploughing Preparation. Focusing on the increase of large-scale yield per unit area of major grain and oil crops, we will make overall plans to promote the guarantee of agricultural materials and machinery, the implementation of policy projects, and scientific and technological training and guidance. Focusing on grain and oil crops and characteristic industries, 39 main technologies and 39 leading varieties such as "one spray and multiple promotions" were selected and released, and the promotion of advanced applicable technologies and excellent varieties was accelerated. Set up five work guidance groups, carry out investigations on the hem of agricultural materials and the progress of spring sowing in different districts, guide all localities to implement detailed policy projects, and lay a solid foundation for a bumper harvest throughout the year. Implement various policies to benefit farmers in a timely manner, and implement subsidies for corn, soybean and rice producers, subsidies for cultivated land fertility protection, and subsidies for agricultural machinery purchase and application.

It is understood that at present, the moisture content of the soil tillage layer in most areas of our city is suitable. It is expected that the precipitation in spring sowing period will be more than that in the same period of normal years. The first soaky rain will occur in mid-April, and the overall meteorological conditions are conducive to spring sowing production.
