In recent years, our city has vigorously developed green buildings and promoted green design, green construction and green energy technology. Recently, the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau selected 12 green building and building energy-saving demonstration projects, giving full play to the leading role of demonstration projects and promoting the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of the city's construction sector.

On Southwest Road, Lvshunkou District, the graduate dormitory and canteen project of Dalian Foreign Studies University has completed the main construction and interior decoration. This project has a total construction area of 24,000 square meters. It is designed according to the one-star standard of green buildings. Energy-saving measures of walls, doors and windows increase the thermal insulation effect. By adjusting the design orientation to conform to the dominant wind direction, the passive ventilation effect is enhanced, and solar energy systems and air sources are adopted. Heat pumps provide heating, hot water, etc. for buildings to achieve green and low-carbon operation of buildings. The relevant person in charge of the project of China Construction Installation Northeast Company told the reporter: "We implement the construction according to the green building standards. For example, in the process of toilet construction, we selected domestic first-line brands, mainly considering the water-saving performance of these sanitary ware. The comprehensive water-saving rate can reach 30%, and the final energy-saving effect of the whole building can reach more than 20%."

The 12 projects selected this time also include the new campus of the Municipal Second People's Hospital, Yinggeshi School, Dalian Alpine Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation Project, etc. At present, 100% of new civil buildings in our city have implemented green building standards, and new residential buildings have fully implemented the energy-saving standard of reducing energy consumption by 75% in heating season. The proportion of new prefabricated buildings has increased year by year, reaching the goal of accounting for 60%.
