In winter, indoor doors and windows are closed, and the air circulation is not smooth, which will cause frequent gas accidents. In order to protect the safety of citizens' lives and property and prevent gas accidents, Dalian Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau issued a reminder to all citizens:
1. Maintain ventilation. When using gas, windows should be properly opened to keep ventilation to avoid hypoxia suffocation or carbon monoxide poisoning. If you have poisoning symptoms such as dizziness and chest tightness when using gas, you should immediately open the doors and windows, evacuate the poisoned people from the scene to fresh air as soon as possible, and call 120 emergency number in time.
2. Do "people leave, the fire is extinguished, and the valve is closed" to avoid leakage caused by overflowing soup or outside wind extinguishing the stove fire.
3. Regular self-inspection. Users should do daily leak checks, focusing on gas meters, self-closing valves, connecting pipes, and stove connections. You can apply soap and detergent water to parts prone to gas leakage, such as gas pipeline interface, gas valve, gas cooker connection port, etc. When foam is found to be generated and increasing, it indicates that gas leakage has occurred there (Note: It is strictly forbidden to use open flame to detect leakage).
4. Be sure to choose a special long-life gas hose that meets the requirements of standard specifications. Choose gas stoves with flameout protection devices that meet the type of gas source, and replace gas stoves that have expired their service life in time. Correctly install and use self-closing valves and gas alarms that meet the type of gas source.
5. It is strictly forbidden for users to privately modify or encapsulate gas pipelines, install, modify or dismantle gas facilities and gas metering devices without authorization, and avoid gas leakage caused by improper operation or irregular connection.
6. Once you smell gas indoors (similar to the smell of rotten eggs) or suspect gas leakage, you should keep calm, stop all gas activities, immediately close the gas valve and cut off the gas source. Open the doors and windows quickly for ventilation, don't turn on any power supply, and quickly call the service hotline of the gas company in the outdoor safe area.
