The conference presented awards to scientists and award-winning project representatives who won the 2023 Dalian Science and Technology Award. Yi Baolian, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and researcher of Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, won the highest science and technology award in the city, and 56 projects won the Municipal Natural Science Award, the Municipal Technological Invention Award and the Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award.
The 2023 Dalian Science and Technology Awards established the city's highest science and technology award for the first time, which will be selected every two years. Academician Yi Baolian, who won the award this time, is one of the main founders, pioneer and leader of my country's fuel cell technology. He proposed the "wind, solar and hydrogen complementation" research and development technology route for the first time and completed the development of the first megawatt-level hydrogen energy demonstration project in China. It has greatly promoted the construction of my country's fuel cell standardization system.
