Recently, the Ministry of Transport, the State Railway Administration, and China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. jointly released typical cases of container rail-water combined transport brand line cultivation. A total of 12 cases across the country were shortlisted. The "Northeast China (Shenyang East Station, Baicheng North Station, Xinglongshan Station)-Dalian Port (Dayaowan Port Area) container iron-water combined transport line" declared by Liaoning Port Co., Ltd., China Railway Shenyang Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and Dalian Port Jifa Logistics Co., Ltd. became the only selected case in Northeast China.

It is understood that this typical case collection and selection focuses on the "integrated connection" of intermodal infrastructure, "one order to the end" of intermodal services, "one box to the end" of intermodal organizations, "one-stop sharing" of intermodal information, and "integrated linkage" of supporting policies, highlighting the leading role of demonstration. In recent years, Dalian Port has accelerated the transformation and upgrading of infrastructure such as port railway logistics hub, inland port and service node, expanded the service network of hot-rail intermodal transport, consolidated the integrated service system of "route + port + train + inland station", and focused on cultivating export-oriented container hot-rail intermodal transport lines, initially forming a typical container hot-rail intermodal transport line with Shenyang East Railway Station, Baicheng North Station and Xinglongshan Station as inland railway hubs.

Taking typical lines as a demonstration, Dalian Port has operated more than 50 rail-water intermodal transport lines, accelerating the construction of a "train + liner" rail-water intermodal transport network covering the entire Northeast region, providing efficient and smooth logistics channels for foreign trade of grain deep processing products, mechanical and electrical products, chemicals and other inland sources in Northeast China, and helping the export-oriented economy to flourish. By actively promoting measures such as supporting rail-water intermodal transport policies, innovating intermodal transport models, and promoting and applying the "one order system", Dalian Port, together with railways, shipping companies and other partners, has joined hands to provide diversified and multi-level rail-water intermodal transport services for cargo owners in the hinterland of Northeast China, effectively reducing comprehensive logistics costs and improving the flexibility and resilience of the supply chain. In 2023 and the first half of 2024, the business volume of Dalian Port's typical export-oriented rail-water combined transport lines (Shenyang East Station, Baicheng North Station, Xinglongshan Station-Dayaowan Port Area) will increase by 48% and 21% year-on-year respectively.
