On November 12th, Hideki Tanaka, special counselor of Ehime Prefecture, Japan, led a delegation from Ehime Prefecture to visit Dalian. Yesterday, Chen Shaowang, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and mayor, met with the delegation in the VIP room of the municipal government. Vice Mayor Li Damin attended the meeting.

On behalf of the municipal party committee and municipal government, Chen Shaowang welcomed the delegation and introduced the city's economic and social development and exchanges and cooperation with Japan. He said that Dalian is conscientiously implementing the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, implementing the spirit of 　 Xi's important speeches and instructions on the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China, Liaoning, and Dalian, focusing on the strategic positioning of "two leading areas" and "three centers", giving full play to comparative advantages and favorable conditions, striving to deepen all-round, multi-field, in-depth, and high-level opening up to the outside world, and thoroughly implementing the new breakthrough Dalian action for Liaoning's comprehensive revitalization. Inventory-based project-based engineering promotes the "six constructions", and the economic and social development trend continues to improve.

Chen Shaowang said that non-governmental friendship and local exchanges are important cornerstones for the development of Sino-Japanese relations. In the past five years, Dalian and Ehime Prefecture have continuously deepened friendly exchanges, and the cooperation in agriculture, cultural tourism, health care and other fields has achieved fruitful results. In February this year, Special Counselor Hideki Tanaka attended the Sino-Japanese Friendship People Symposium held by Dalian Friendship Economic and Trade Delegation in Tokyo and made a special speech; In September, Ehime Prefectural Government organized a delegation to participate in the 13th Dalian Japan Commodity Exhibition of Liaoning International Fair for Investment and Trade in China for the first time. Up to now, 20 Ehime enterprises have invested and developed in Dalian. We are willing to work with Ehime Prefecture to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the field of trade, make full use of platforms such as cross-border e-commerce and international exhibitions in Dalian, and establish a two-way commodity trading promotion mechanism. Strengthen the interactive development of industries, and carry out pragmatic cooperation around fine chemicals, equipment manufacturing, electronic machinery, silver economy, pension industry and other fields. Comprehensively deepen sister city exchanges, jointly promote navigation from Dalian to Ehime Prefecture, promote education, cultural tourism, sports and youth exchanges between the two places, and make local contributions to the development of friendly relations between China and Japan.

Hideki Tanaka thanked relevant parties in Dalian for their warm reception to the delegation, and hoped that through this visit, we would jointly promote pragmatic cooperation in a wider field, at a deeper level and with higher efficiency, and promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two places to continuously achieve new results.
