Liaoning Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued a health reminder on January 19th! Pay attention to influenza B in the season of high incidence of influenza
2024-01-22 20:03

1. How to distinguish influenza A from influenza B in the high season of influenza?

Influenza B and influenza A belong to influenza viruses, and the clinical symptoms of seasonal influenza caused by them are similar. Therefore, to distinguish and identify influenza A or influenza B viruses, etiological typing detection, such as nucleic acid detection and antigen detection, is needed.

In addition, there are some differences in infectivity and pathogenicity between them. Influenza A is more prone to mutation and easy to cause large-scale spread and epidemic; Influenza B usually causes local outbreaks.

2. What is the current situation and trend of influenza in our province?

Influenza viruses can be divided into four types: A, B, C and D. Influenza viruses are mainly caused by influenza A and B, and the composition of influenza A and B viruses will change alternately in different influenza epidemic seasons or different periods of the same influenza epidemic season.

Recent monitoring data show that the proportion of influenza B in our province has increased, while the proportion of influenza A has decreased, but influenza A still occupies a dominant position, showing an overlapping epidemic trend. We can't rule out the possibility that the proportion of influenza B will continue to increase in the later period and become the main epidemic type.

3. For patients who have just been infected with influenza A, can they be infected with influenza B again?

In the same influenza epidemic season, there are usually different types and subtypes of influenza viruses prevalent together, but their proportions are different. If you are infected with influenza A and have an immune response, it does not mean that you will have immune protection against influenza B.. That is to say, even if you have been infected with influenza A in this epidemic season, you may be infected with influenza B again.

4. As winter vacation and Spring Festival holiday approach, how to do personal protection?

Influenza virus is mainly transmitted by respiratory droplets produced by sneezing and coughing of infected people, and can also be infected directly or indirectly through mucous membranes such as oral cavity, nasal cavity and eyes.

Personal protection can be carried out through the following points:

(1) Pay attention to personal hygiene habits and wash hands frequently; Cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing, and don't spit everywhere.

(2) Wear masks scientifically. You can wear masks scientifically according to your needs when taking public transport, going to crowded places and going to medical institutions for medical treatment.

(3) Maintain air circulation. Open windows and ventilate 2-3 times a day for more than 30 minutes each time. Pay attention to cold and warmth when opening windows for ventilation.

(4) Try to avoid going to places with dense people and dirty air.

5. How can we better pay attention to and protect high-risk people?

It is suggested that high-risk people should be vaccinated as soon as possible. The trivalent influenza vaccine and tetravalent influenza vaccine listed this year both contain Bv components of influenza A and influenza B, so both vaccines are effective.

In addition, it is necessary to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Eat three meals a day regularly, the proportion of staple food, fruits and vegetables, poultry, fish and eggs should be reasonably matched, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, and balance the diet; Exercise moderately to ensure sleep; Quit smoking and limit alcohol; Maintain peace of mind, exercise reasonably and enhance immunity.

Pay close attention to abnormal symptoms such as fever and acute respiratory infection, and take measures such as rest at home, taking medicine or seeking medical treatment in time according to the situation. If the illness worsens or the original basic diseases are obviously aggravated, seek medical treatment immediately.
