Yesterday, the 5th Philips Global Cooperative Innovation Forum and Compressed Sensing National Club Forum were held in Dalian. At the meeting, the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University and Philips Medical Technology Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly build the first Sino-Dutch "Advanced Technology Laboratory of Cell and Molecular Imaging". The two sides will invest in high-level scientific research teams, and devote themselves to iterative research and development of cutting-edge medical imaging equipment, joint breakthrough of basic medicine and high-tech equipment, and clinical practice of innovative technologies. Zhao Hongwei, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor, and Nico Schiettekatte, Counsellor of Health, Welfare and Sports of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in China attended the forum.
It is understood that since 2019, the First Hospital of Great Medical University has established a cooperative relationship with Philips Medical Technology Co., Ltd., and is committed to the innovative research and clinical application of medical imaging technology. The hospital has successively introduced several Philips ultra-high-end scientific research magnetic resonance imaging systems to promote efficient and high-quality scientific research output through scientific research cooperation. At present, the clinical development and application of compressed sensing, molecular and functional imaging, large aperture imaging and other technologies are at the advanced level in China. As one of the key international cooperation projects for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Netherlands, the "Advanced Technology Laboratory of Cell and Molecular Imaging" project will accelerate the clinical practice transformation of new medical technology, promote the friendly cooperation between China and the Netherlands, and contribute to the construction of "Healthy China".
