Introduction of Lvshunkou District

Lvshunkou District is located at the southernmost tip of Liaodong Peninsula, It is one of the main urban areas of Dalian, 45 kilometers away from the center of Dalian, The land area is 506.8 square kilometers (including 102 square kilometers hosted by high-tech parks), and the sea area is 2630.4 square kilometers (including 40.4 square kilometers hosted by high-tech parks). It hosts the national Lvshun Economic and Technological Development Zone and the provincial Taiyanggou Cultural Industrial Park, with 9 streets under its jurisdiction, with a registered population of 208,000 and a resident population of about 400,000. It was partially opened to the outside world in 1996 and fully opened to the outside world in 2009. With heavy historical accumulation, it is known as "one Lvshunkou, half modern history". In 2020, it was successfully selected into the list of the first batch of demonstration zones for the protection and utilization of cultural relics in China. The unique location advantage has formed the "five-in-one" transportation advantage of port, railway, train ferry, expressway and subway. Rich in science and education resources, there are 6 universities including Dalian Medical University, 88 high-tech enterprises and 53 R&D institutions above the municipal level.
