Yesterday morning, as one of the main activities of Dalian Economic and Trade Delegation to Japan and South Korea, "Liaoning-Japan Economic and Trade Exchange Promotion Conference on New Opportunities and New Development under RCEP Agreement" was held in Osaka, Japan. It is reported that this is the first economic and trade promotion meeting held overseas by our province and our city in recent three years.

According to reports, this promotion meeting was hosted by the Provincial Department of Commerce, undertaken by the Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Jinpu New District Management Committee, and co-organized by Japan-China Economic and Trade Center. Ten projects including Dalian Transocean Story, Wanzhong Yuncang, Dongsheng Industry, Mingji Hot Spring, Xinyuan Heavy Industry and Huacheng Overseas Employment Service were signed on site. Japanese enterprises such as Heisei Corporation, West Japan Chamber of Commerce, Weicai Co., Ltd., Daxuan Corporation Co., Ltd., Matsuda Food Co., Ltd., Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Co., Ltd. and Licensed Machinery Co., Ltd. attended the meeting with more than 80 representatives from enterprises in Japan. On that day, a number of investment projects were promoted, and the turnover of on-site signed trade was 920 million yuan, and 260 laborers were sent abroad, which achieved fruitful results.

The meeting introduced RCEP (Dalian) International Business District, and interpreted the special support policies for RCEP in Dalian Free Trade Zone, which were concerned by participating enterprises. RMITP (Dalian) International Business District will focus on undertaking foreign-invested enterprises in RMITP region and enterprises carrying out economic and trade cooperation with RMITP countries to settle down, Focus on attracting the headquarters of high-end service industries such as trade, settlement, finance, R&D and design for RCEP market, and focus on building a "one-stop" service platform for RCEP enterprises with functions such as national exhibition, professional services, exchange and interaction, market expansion, trade facilitation and commercial law.

The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce said that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, and Dalian's trade cooperation with Japan has unique advantages. With the implementation of RCEP, Dalian's cooperation potential with Japan has been continuously released. In the next step, Dalian will seize the opportunity of opening up and developing the post-epidemic situation, Further promote high-level institutional opening, continuously optimize the international business environment, innovate new industries and formats of RCEP, fully assist enterprises to expand international and domestic markets, promote economic and trade exchanges and industrial cooperation with RCEP countries more efficiently, forcefully and accurately, build diversified economic and trade cooperation relations, and create a new frontier of opening-up cooperation in the new era.
