Xi Called to Congratulate Nguyen Xuan Phuc on His Re-Election as Vietnamese President

On July 26, President Xi Jinping sent a telegram to Nguyen Xuan Phuc to congratulate him on his re-election as Vietnamese President.

 

Xi Jinping pointed out in his congratulatory message that China and Vietnam are socialist neighbors linked by mountains and rivers, with profound traditional friendship and extensive common interests. Facing the changes in the past century and the disasters in the century, the two sides stick to their common ideals and beliefs, practice the initial intention of unity and friendship, and endow the comprehensive strategic cooperation between the two countries with a new era connotation through practical actions.

 

Xi Jinping emphasized that since the beginning of this year, the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam has been successfully held, and the Communist Party of China has celebrated its centenary. China and Vietnam have entered a critical stage of connecting the past with the future. I attach great importance to the development of Sino-Vietnamese relations, and I am willing to work with Vietnamese leading comrades to strengthen the strategic guidance of the relations between the two parties and the two countries in the new era, and make continuous progress towards the goal of building a strategic community of destiny between China and Vietnam.

 

On the same day, Premier Li Keqiang sent a telegram congratulating Fan Mingzheng on his re-election as Prime Minister of the Vietnamese government, expressing his willingness to work with Prime Minister Fan Mingzheng to enhance mutual political trust, consolidate the foundation of friendly cooperation, speed up the docking of development strategies, build a mutually beneficial and win-win pattern, and promote the continuous development of Sino-Vietnamese relations in the new era.
