On the evening of July 13, Chinese President Xi Jinping had a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Zelenski.

Xi Jinping emphasized that since the establishment of China-Uzbekistan strategic partnership 10 years ago, bilateral relations have maintained a healthy and stable development momentum, and cooperation in various fields has achieved positive results, bringing tangible benefits to the two peoples. Since last year, the two sides have joined hands to fight the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic and cooperated in vaccines, deepening the friendship between the two peoples. China is willing to work with Uzbekistan to promote traditional friendship, deepen mutual understanding and strengthen pragmatic cooperation, and take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year as an opportunity to actively promote China-Uzbekistan relations and help the two countries better achieve their respective development goals.

Xi pointed out that at present, the epidemic situation in novel coronavirus pneumonia is still repeated, and only by uniting and cooperating can the international community fight the arduous struggle between mankind and the virus. China is willing to continue to strengthen cooperation with Uzbekistan in the fields of vaccines and Chinese medicine to help Uzbekistan overcome the epidemic. The two sides should take the opportunity of building a "the belt and road initiative" with high quality, promote cooperation in infrastructure, China-Europe trains and other projects, strengthen cooperation in agricultural products, and expand people-to-people exchanges and cooperation.

Zelenski said that China has just solemnly celebrated the centennial birthday of the Communist Party of China, and Uzbekistan congratulates it and wishes the Communist Party of China more great achievements in leading the Chinese people. In the face of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, China has provided timely and valuable assistance to Uzbekistan and played an important role in fighting the epidemic. It is hoped that both sides will strengthen cooperation in vaccines, medicine and other fields. Uzbekistan attaches great importance to and is committed to developing closer strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China. Uzbekistan firmly adheres to the one-China policy and is willing to take the 10th anniversary of the establishment of strategic partnership and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to promote exchanges and cooperation with China in various fields.
