Dalian Seventh People's Hospital Held An Emergent First-aid Skill Competition

In order to celebrate the first Chinese Physicians’ Day, carry forward the spirit of “healing the wounded and rescuing the dying”, and inspire physicians to be self-respect and self-strengthening and professional and self-giving, the Seventh People's Hospital launched a series of activities for physicians, such as a series of professional knowledge training, case analysis competition, and emergent first-aid skills competition, creating a good atmosphere of rigorous study, excellence, and medical care. improving the professional quality and professional skills of medical personnel, and improving their ability to serve the physical and mental health of the people.

 

On August 8th, 2018, the hospital held an emergent first-aid skills competition for all medical staff. Seventy-eight medical personnel took part in the competition in 13 groups. The competition was divided into two types of emergent first-aid: ventricular fibrillation(VF) and ventricular tachycardia(VT).  The competition team scored the evaluation of the disease, emergency procedures, medication, operation and team cooperation. The participating teams were calm, methodical and standardized in their operations, which was unanimously recognized by the judges. Through this competition, the overall emergency response ability and on-site first aid level of medical personnel were further tested, the awareness of on-site first aid was strengthened, and the emergent first-aid ability, overall response speed and department coordination efficiency of the hospital were fully demonstrated.
