This year, the holiday for Qingming Festival coincided with three sunny spring days. It was high time for climbing mountains, uniting with family or meeting friends, sweeping tombs to worship ancestors, picking fruits and catching sea, eat traditional meals in farm (fishery) homes, and bathing in hot springs. Qingming Festival has become important days for ancestors worship and spirit memory, a traditional Chinese custom. At the same time, as the beginning of spring travel, it also saw a peak of spring tour. The 3-day holiday witnessed stable tourism, various activities and smooth traffic with no major travel complaints and security accidents.
During the three days, Dalian saw a total of 666,100 tourists at home or abroad, a year-on-year increase of 10.83%, with tourism comprehensive revenue of 0.972 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.46%. 355,000 tourists visited the scenic spots in Dalian, with a year-on-year increase of 11.15%, while the revenue reached 35,202,000 yuan increasing by 12.20%. A total of 75,200 tourists visited the hot springs with an increase of 12.10% year on year while countryside saw 93,500 visitors, an increase of 11.60%.
All sectors of government cooperated closely to ensure the order of the city and security of lives and properties. During the vacation, administrative departments including public security, fire, transportation, forestry, tourism attached great importance to strict deployment and strengthened prevention, thus ensuring that the vacation could go smoothly and stably.

A variety of preferential activities and boutique lines have been introduced in all the scenic spots. In Jinpu New District, there were temple fairs in Daheishan Mountains, flower appreciation in Xiaoheishan Mountains, picking fruit in Pei Tun Village, hot spring in Ming Lake, discovery trip in Golden Pebble Beach. All these boutique lines were widely welcomed by tourists and local citizens. Therefore, there were 129,000 tourists visiting Golden Pebble Beach while 12,000 visitors went to Daheishan Mountains. Tiger Beach Ocean Park launched the eighth seabird conservation festival, seeing 12,000 tourists in 3 days while the Forest Zoo introduced the activities of getting closer to animals, witnessing 50,000 tourists in the holidays. More than 30,000 visitors went to Xijiao National Forestry Park, 11,000 to Jinlongsi Forestry Park, 30,000 to Cha’an Village, 10,000 to Ming lake Hot Spring Farm, 25,000 to Xiangzhou Garden City, 8000 to Yinggeshi Botanic Garden and 5000 to Changhai county.

With the growth of private cars, self-driving tours became major way for family to travel in the holidays. 60% visitors in country drove by themselves.

5.Tourism volunteers make a beautiful scenery
In April 1st, more than 30 volunteers dressed in uniforms in Donggang Music Fountain Square provide travel advisory services to the public and tourists, showing the beautiful scenery of Dalian, and becoming our city’s publicity team for Dalian tourism.
6.The volunteers organized by Dalian City Charity Organization went to Hero Park for sweeping tomb and offering sacrifice to the revolutionary martyrs, which showed the style of transitional education.
