On September 26, the unveiling ceremony of Sino-Russian ecological livable demonstration base Russian Town was held at Lushun Tianmu Hot Spring Hotel. Present at the ceremony were leaders of Lushunkou District Zhou Liangzhong and Wang Chao, Russian Consul General in Shenyang Sergei Bedford and other Russian delegates including National Counselor Borisov Andre Savage.
At the unveiling ceremony, Kaishi Group signed a cooperative agreement with Russian Federation of UNESCO Committee and Cultural and Lushun Commercial Representative Office of Sakha（Yakutia）Republic of Russia respectively.
Member of Lushunkou District Party Committee Zhou Liangzhong said in his speech that Lushun has had deep historical contacts and long-last friendship with Russia. Since the overall opening up in 2009, Lushun has further strengthened exchanges and communication with Russia. Zhou also encouraged the enterprises in the district to conduct cooperation with Russia to promote culture exchanges. The signing agreement will establish a broader platform for Sino-Russian cooperation in such sectors as cultural exhibition, leisure, pension and traditional Chinese Medicine.
It’s said that the Russian Town with multi-functions invested by China Kaishi Group is elaborately intended for Russians who come to China for business, learning, travel and vacation. The Russian Town covers an area of 45 thousand sqm and involves residential area, CBD business district, Russian-style commercial street, tourist resort, medical care for the elderly and international education center, which can accommodate more than 20,000 households and 60000 residents. Such public facilities as modern hospitals, bilingual kindergartens and international schools as well as such service facilities as four or five-star hotels and express inns will also be built.
Currently, the initial construction of Russian Town has been completed, including a residential community, a five-star hot spring hotel, a school, a hospital, an office building, a bathing beach and a “friendship square”. In the next step, Sino-Russian children's summer camp base will be built, which can receive 1600 Russian and Chinese children to participate in the summer camp with various themes like patriotism education, peace and mission, artistic creation and Chinese (Russian) language learning.
