Tan Chengxu Meets Fukuoka-Dalian Future Committee Delegation

On September 26, Chairman of Fukuoka-Dalian Futures Commission and Tokuoya, Honorary Citizen of Dalian, led a delegation of Fukuoka-Dalian Futures Commission to attend the Liaoning-Japan Trade Fair and the Dalian Japan Commodities Fair. On the same day, mayor Tan Chengxu met with the delegation at Fuli Hua Hotel, and Yi Qingtao, secretary general of the People’s Government of Dalian, attended the meeting.

Tan Chengxu welcomed the delegation and briefed the guests on the economic and social development of Fukuoka. He said that since the establishment of the Fukuoka-Dalian Future Committee, a lot of fruitful work has been done to promote cooperation and non-governmental exchanges between Dalian and Fukuoka in the fields of economy, culture, education and sports, and gratifying results have been achieved. At present, Dalian is speeding up a new round of opening to the outside world, and we will strengthen practical cooperation with Japan in relevant fields. We hope that the visit of the delegation will enable the two sides to further expand exchanges in the fields of IT, health care, tourism and sightseeing on the basis of long-term good cooperation, so as to achieve win-win results and common development.

Tokuya expressed full agreement with Tan Chengxu’s proposal, which would give full play to the bridge and tie role of Fukuoka-Dalian Future Commission, build a broader stage for friendly exchanges between the two regions, and push bilateral cooperation to a new level.
