Tan Chengxu Meets Guests Attending Summer Davos Forum

Yesterday, Mayor Tan Chengxu met with Kandjan-Franç ois, Mayor of Pointe-Noire, Republic of Congo, and Dr. Ramghabunahan, Senior Vice President of SAP Global, and their party in the VIP room of the municipal government. Yi Qingtao, Secretary General of the municipal government, attended the meeting.


In the meeting with Kant Jean-Franç ois, Tan Chengxu said that in September 2018, President Xi Jinping proposed at the Beijing Summit of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum to focus on the implementation of the "eight major actions" of China-Africa cooperation in the next three years and for some time to further strengthen cooperation and exchanges with African countries. As early as 2000, Dalian became a friendly city with Heijiao City. The two sides have maintained smooth communication and exchange. It is hoped that the visit of Mayor Condé jean-Franç ois will promote practical cooperation between the two cities in the fields of ports, infrastructure construction, and humanities exchanges. In the meeting with Ramgab Nahan, Tan Chengxu said that SAP is the largest software company in Europe and has continuously increased its investment in the company in recent years. SAP (China) Dalian Branch has become SAP's second largest technology support center in the world and the largest in Asia Pacific. It is hoped that SAP will make full use of Dalian's advantages in the healthy development of software and information technology industry and the large number of software talents to further expand its business scope and strengthen cooperation between the two sides in urban digital transformation, industrial Internet and enterprise cloud. Ramgarbhan spoke highly of Dalian's successful hosting of the Summer Davos Forum, saying that Dalian has a beautiful environment, a strong atmosphere of innovation and great potential for development. SAP will further expand the depth and breadth of cooperation between the two sides.
