Naotomo Tsuchiya, Chairman of Fukuoka·Dalian Future Committee, Became an Honorary Citizen of Dalian

Yesterday, Mayor Tan Chengxu handed Dalian honorary citizenship certificate, badge and a " golden key" to open the door of friendship to Naotomo Tsuchiya in the VIP room of the municipal government, expressing his gratitude for his positive contribution to promoting exchanges and cooperation between Dalian and Japan in various fields.


Tan Chengxu congratulated Naotomo Tsuchiya on winning the title of " Honorary Citizen of Dalian” and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Fukuoka·Dalian Future Committee and Dalian· Fukuoka Future Committee. He said that since the establishment of the two committees, a great deal of fruitful work has been done to promote economic, cultural, educational and sports exchanges and cooperation between Dalian and Fukuoka, thus enhancing the understanding and friendship between the two peoples. The achievement of these results is inseparable from the active efforts of successive chairmen of the two sides and the active participation of member units. In particular, Naotomo Tsuchiya has made full use of his influence in the political and business circles of Kyushu, Japan, to bridge the communication and cooperation between Dalian and Fukuoka and Kyushu region, and has made a positive contribution to Dalian's economic and social development and opening to the outside world since he served as the chairman of the Fukuoka-Dalian Future Committee. He expressed the hope that Mr. Tsuchiya will continue to care for and support Dalian's development and actively promote deeper cooperation between the two places in a wider field.


Naotomo Tsuchiya thanked the Dalian municipal government for the honor. He said that the Fukuoka·Dalian Future Committee will plan the future with a development vision, actively promote the pragmatic cooperation between the two places in more fields, strengthen the non-governmental exchanges between the two places, especially between the youth, and make new contributions to the cause of Sino-Japanese friendship.
