Yesterday, Mayor Tan Chengxu and Professor Schwab, the Honorary Citizen of Dalian and the Chairman of the World Economic Forum, had a cordial exchange in the office of the Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum at Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center. They exchanged views and reached a consensus on the specific issues of holding the 13th Summer Davos Annual Meeting in Dalian next year. Lu Lin, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and executive deputy mayor, and Yi Qingtao, secretary general of the municipal government, attended the meeting.
Tan Chengxu expressed his gratitude to Professor Schwab for his concern and support for Dalian's economic and social development. He said that Professor Schwab brought the Summer Davos Annual Meeting to Dalian, which promoted economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between Dalian and the world and enhanced Dalian's international visibility and influence.
