Yesterday, 2018 China-Italy Small and Medium Enterprise Economic and Trade Cooperation Matchmaking Meeting was opened at the Shangri-La Hotel, Dalian.
Vice Minister of Commerce Wang Bingnan and Italian Ambassador to China Xie Guoyi attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The mayor Tan Chengxu gave a keynote speech at the opening ceremony. Fabrizio LUCENTINI, director of the Department of Internationalization and Trade Promotion of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, Marco Tronchetti Provera, Executive Vice Chairman of Pirelli, Italy, and Lin Jingyi, Vice President of the Bank of China delivered speeches respectively.At the opening ceremony, member of Municipal Standing Committee, Deputy Mayor Lu Lin and Xie Guoyi signed a memorandum on partnership for economic and trade cooperation between Dalian Municipal Government and and the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.The opening ceremony was presided over by the Municipal Government Secretary-General Yi Qingtao.
2018 Italy-China SME Trade and Investment Forum was jointly initiated by the Ministry of Commerce and the China-Italy Entrepreneurs Committee and co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, the Dalian Municipal Government, the Italian Pirelli Group and the Bank of China.This is a joint meeting in recent years with the largest number of companies, the most extensive participation, and the highest technology content in the cooperation between our city and European single-country companies.It attracted nearly 70 Italian companies and nearly 300 Chinese companies to participate, mainly covering ships and marine engineering, tourism services, information and communications technology, biopharmaceuticals and medical care, environmental protection and new energy, general equipment manufacturing, consumer products, petrochemicals, automotive assembly and parts, and apparel industry. On the day of the opening ceremony, more than 300 one-to-one negotiation activities for Chinese and Italian enterprises were held.
