Brazil LNG Forestry Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with enterprises in Dalian.

Yesterday, Brazil LNG Forestry Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Changxingdao Port Investment Development Co., Ltd. and Beikong (Dalian) Investment Co., Ltd., promising to build a Brazil wood logistics trade zone in Changxingdao, a platform for importing timber to Brazil and a base for storing overseas forest resources. The Mayor Xiao Shengfeng and Chairman of LNG Forestry Group Leandro Gera attended the signing ceremony and conducted friendly talks.
LNG Forestry Group, one of Brazil's largest timber processing enterprises, has 5,000-square-kilometer original forest for exploitation and four timber processing plants. In May this year, Xiao Shengfeng and his parties met with Leandro Gela and reached agreement in promoting the sustainable utilization of forest resources and transformation and upgrading of forestry economy and creating a high added value industrial chain.
Xiao expressed his welcome to Leandro Gera and his parties and hoped that LNG Forestry Group could take advantage of Dalian's location advantages and the construction of the free trade zone to speed up the construction of the logistics trade park and make it a model in line with ecological and economic development for friendly cooperation between the two parties. He promised that governments at all levels would provide high-quality service for the project.
Leandro Gera said the construction of the free trade zone was an important overseas project of LNG Group, and they would deepen pragmatic cooperation with enterprises in Dalian to achieve mutual benefits.
Present at the signing ceremony were Yang Guangzhi, director of the Administrative Committee of Changxingdao Economic Zone and Luo Dongsheng, secretary-general of the municipal government.
