Yesterday, the opening ceremony of the Energy College, University of Science and Technology of China was held at the Dalian Chemical Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Li Shushen, Vice Dean of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Secretary and President of the Party Committee of University of Science and Technology of China, Lu Ke, Vice Governor of Dalian, and Tan Chengxu, Vice Secretary of the Municipal Committee and Mayor of Dalian, attended and delivered speeches. On behalf of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Li Shushen thanked Liaoning Province and Dalian for their strong support. Dalian Institute of Chemicals, as the leading contractor of the Energy College of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, has strong faculty and powerful platforms for scientific research, engineering application, experimental conditions, international cooperation and industrial bases, and a number of well-known scientists at home and abroad, as well as a large number of high-quality research and technical personnel were educated here. The Energy College of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences is located in Yinggeshi, a high-tech zone, with a total construction area of about 142,000 square meters. It is expected that the first batch of freshmen will be able to enter the school before the end of September 2020.
