From the Chinese New Year's Eve to the third day of the first lunar month, when people were setting off firecrackers to celebrate the festival, sanitation workers of our city were doing a specific job “sweeping the red firecrackers debris”which they need to pay more physical effort than usual.
At 2:00 am on the first day of the first lunar month, the sound of firecrackers on New Year's Eve gradually calmed down and people began to go to sleep. Almost no pedestrians stayed outside. However, you could see several sanitation workers every few hundred meters. They were sweeping the red firecrackers garbage with brooms, in order to bring a clean urban environment to the people who wake up in the next morning.
In order to ensure the quality of sanitation on the first day of the new year, the Evironmental Management Center of Shahekou District required all workers on duty in all tenders to go to work early at night to clean up the firecrackers garbage. The garbage on every street, even every corner, must be cleaned up and transported. The Evironmental Management Center also increased capacity to transport garbage. According to the weather conditions on New Year's Eve,the Evironmental Management Center rationally deployed personnel and vehicles, intensifying the efforts of cleaning on key roads and areas, cleaning the debris of firecrackers in time to keep the debris of firecrackers from polluting environment by wind. At the same time, the combination of human sweeping and machine sweeping ensured the timely removal of firecrackers garbage. Sanitation workers timely put out the burning fireworks in the process of cleaning up firecrackers garbage to prevent fire accident.
