Tan Chengxu Met with the Delegation from Tokyo's Ota District Council, Japan

Yesterday, Mayor Tan Chengxu met a delegation from Ota District Council Tokyo,Japan. It was headed by the former Speaker of Ota Districat Council Shigeru Matsubara at the municipal government's VIP room  .Liu Weimu, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, and Yi Qingtao, secretary general of municipal government attended the meeting.

 

Tan Chengxu welcomed the visit of the delegation and introduced the economic social development in the future of our city and the exchange of daily economic and trade towards Japan.He said that in 2009, Dalian Municipal Government signed a "Establish friendly cooperation relationship protocol" with the Ota District Government, and both sides have carried out close communication and cooperation in fields such as economy and trade, culture, education and youth, and have achieved fruitful results.In May of this year, during the visit day of the delegation, Dalian delegation decided to continue to promote exchanges in economic and trade, port, education and other fields with relevant departments and institutions of Ota District, and reach a consensus.

 

Tan Chengxu said, this year is the 40th anniversary of the Sino-Japanese Peace friendly Treaty, and the 10th anniversary of the friendly cooperation relationship established between Dalian and Ota District, and hoped that the two sides will take this opportunity to get together and  further strengthen the pragmatic cooperation in each field. Jointly promote Sino-Japanese friendly relationship and push the development in the future forward.

 

Shigeru Matsubara gave a high assessment to the cooperation achievements of the two regions in recent years, and put forward analysis in the cooperation of both parties in relevant fields. He said he would continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with both parties in practical action and further consolidate the achievements during development.
