Xiao Shengfeng met foreign guests attending the Summer Davos

Yesterday, Mayor Xiao Shengfeng met foreign businessmen at Bangchuidao Hotel separately, including Yorihiko Kojima, honorary chairman of Mitsubishi Corporation, and Yu Xiaoyu, CFO of Asian-Pacific, Middle East and Mediterranean regions of British Telecom’s International Service Department. They deeply exchanged the experience of listening to Premier Li Keqiang’s keynote speech during the opening ceremony and reached an agreement on further expanding investment and deepening cooperation. Luo Dongsheng, secretary general of Dalian Government attended the meeting.

When meeting Yorihiko Kojima, Xiao introduced the economic and social development of Dalian and cooperation with Japan to the guests. He said that Mitsubishi Corporation is the most world famous integrated trade group and set the office agency in Dalian in 1981. Then, Mitsubishi (Dalian) Corporation was set up by investment, which is considered as a medium for economic and trade contact between China and Japan. He hoped that Mitsubishi Corporation can carry out further mutual cooperation with Dalian in a higher level and broader fields to invest and construct projects, which are conducive to the long-term development of both sides, especially in medical industry, to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.

British Telecom is one of the world-leading suppliers on communications solutions and services, the main business of which includes networked IT services, telecommunication services, and high-value broadband and internet products and services. The company has successively set up Bohan British Telecom and Dalian technology service center of British Telecom. When meeting with Yu Xiaoyu, Xiao said that making software and information services industry bigger and stronger is an unshakable development strategy of Dalian. At present, Dalian owns 1900 software and information services companies and 220 thousand employees. He hoped that British Telecom continues to pay high attention to the development of enterprises in Dalian, expand operation scale and move more high-end businesses to Dalian. The government will build an international, market-oriented and legalized business environment for investment enterprises, including British Telecom.
