According to a report from Dalian Food and Drug Administration, 24 food production or processing enterprises located in Ganjingzi District won the title of “Dalian 2017 Model of Food Production or Processing Enterprises Renowned for Quality Safety”, ranking first in Dalian. The enterprises account for 27.9% of the 86 enterprises which won the title in Dalian.
As an important activity to strengthen food safety in Dalian, related governments host the competition for the title of “Model of Food Production or Processing Enterprises Renowned for Quality Safety” every year. It is of great significance to ensuring food safety in Ganjingzi District and other districts. Procedure of the competition includes a. the food production or processing enterprises file the application; b. the Dalian Bureau of Market Management and Supervision makes the recommendation for enterprises to take part in the competition; c. the Dalian Food and Drug Administration conducts on-site evaluation of the enterprises and d. other links of evaluation.
The Dalian Bureau of Market Management and Supervision standardizes operations of food production or processing enterprises firstly by strengthening supervision at the market access, secondly by establishing a system for routine management of the enterprises, and thirdly by focusing on routine inspections of the market. After classifying 334 food production or processing enterprises by the risk degree, the Dalian Bureau of Market Management and Supervision conducts different frequencies of supervision according to the classifications. So far, this year it has successively conducted 37 times of specific inspection regarding the market of meat (including meat products), liquor, drinking water, edible oil and other commodities.
Combining administrative punishment with criminal penalty, the Dalian Bureau of Market Management and Supervision maintains a high-handed posture against any illegal acts violating food safety law and regulations. .
