The Market Supervision Authority of Changhai County carried out special rectification on sales of spices and food additives to further regulate the market of spices and food additives, effectively prevent and eliminate food safety hazards and crack down on illegal act concerning spices and food additives and promote the construction of a national food safety city.
Law enforcement officers were dispatched to conduct a comprehensive inspection on the operators of spices and food additives to know their basic information, operation scale and species.
The group standardized business practices in two aspects. The first was to supervise and guide the strict implementation of purchase-checking system, check licenses of suppliers and record the name, specification, quantity, production date, shelf life of spices and food additives. The second was to punish unlicensed business and operation beyond scope.
The main responsibility was implemented through two measures. The first was to increase training and education for spices and food additives operators so as to strengthen their awareness of honesty, self-discipline and legal operation, earnestly implement the purchase-checking system, and guide them not to purchase and sell spices and food additives without legitimate sources. The second was to supervise enterprises of spices and food additives to apply the “one ticket” system to make source and flow of products traceable and food quality in control.
23 person-time staff were dispatched to check 82 spices enterprises and 6 agricultural trade markets and issued 17 pieces of rectification notice.
