Lushunkou District and Monterey Park establish sister-city relationship

        On June 3rd, Yi Qingtao, governor of Lushunkou District, met with Liang Qiaohan, mayor of Monterey Park. Both sides establish sister-city relationship based on the principles of Joint Communiqué of the United States of America and the People's Republic of China. Zhang Chao, vice governor of Lushunkou District also attended the meeting.


        Yi Qingtao and Liang Qiaohan signed the agreement of establishing friendly cooperative relationship between Lushunkou District of Dalian, PRC and Monterey Park, US. According to the agreement and mutual beneficial principles, both sides will communicate and cooperate in the sectors of economy, trade, science and technology, finance, culture, tourism, etc. through various channels, promoting common prosperity and development of both sides.


        Monterey Park is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. Owning a population of over 60,000, Monterey Park is one of the cities with most diverse residents and is also the largest concentration of Chinese Americans of any municipality in the United States. Besides, it is one of the concentrations of retailing and catering industries all over the United States as well.
