On February 8, Chi Junpeng, director of managing committee of Sun Valley Cultural Industry Park and Liu Jing, director of Lushunkou District Bureau of Tourism Development, as well as officials of related governmental departments attended a meeting on coordination for the 2018 Lushunkou District Spring Lantern Festival.
Themed on celebration of the Spring Festival, the activity is to start at Panlong Temple Cultural Park on March 2 including the opening ceremony, show of commodities, display of colored lanterns (especially in the night), guessing games involving riddles written on face of the lanterns, etc.
The activity would reach the climax when a huge cauldron is unveiled for cooking sweet dumplings enough for tasting by thousands of visitors to the temple.
With traditional culture as the carrier, the activity is part of the effort by the people’s government of Lushunkou District to further enrich the atmosphere for the people to celebrate the Spring Festival.
While continuing to satisfy the growing demand of the people for a better life, the people’s government of Lushunkou District attempts to further promote the development of Lushunkou District culturally, socially and economically.
