Dalian Municipal Commission of Rural Affairs launched a 10-seconds-long “Dalian Big Cherry” commercial on CCTV 7 from May 1st to June 2nd. It is the second CCTV commercial of our high-quality agricultural products following the “Dalian Apple” last year. The survey shows that more than 150 million people across the country watched it, which has played a good publicity and promotion effect. The Dalian Big Cherry sold well this year. Local consumption is relatively brisk, and many dealers had been attracted from other places to buy as well. The price also rose compared to that of last year.
Advertising on the main media like CCTV is one of the measures the city has taken to promote the brand of agricultural products actively. The Municipal Commission of Rural Affairs has firmly focused on the agricultural supply-side structural reform this year, and has seen strengthening the brand building of agricultural products as an important task to adapt to the upgrading of the social consumption and the transformation of agricultural development mode. The commission has been cultivating regional public brands, well-known enterprise brands and quality products brands with scale advantage. The commission will complete the application for the registration of geographical indications of agricultural products of “Dalian Big Cherry” and “Dalian Apple”, and help identify 15 famous agricultural product brands at the city level and above within the year.
